Dental Implants

Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth, address bite problems caused by shifting or missing teeth, or to support a bridge or denture. Dental Implants are artificial root and tooth systems which are implanted into the patient’s jaw-bone. They have a natural look, but are at the same time highly durable and strong. Dental implants do require the same type of care as natural teeth. Implants offer a distinct advantage over conventional dentures or bridges because they are implanted into the bone, and therefore have relatively high stability.

Fillings

There are two classes of filling material, the traditional and modern fillings. Traditional dental fillings include amalgam, composite, porcelain and gold, although gold is very rarely used nowadays. These options offer exceptional strength, and are generally used for teeth in the back of the mouth. Newer fillings (ceramic and plastic compounds) offer a more natural look, and are more often used for front teeth. Depending on the location of the tooth, the amount of damage, and the chewing load the tooth is likely to experience, the proper filling treatment will be administered.

Porcelain Restorations

There are variety of porcelain-based dental restorations that can be utilized to revitalize a patient’s smile. These procedures use custom designed pieces to improve the look and functionality of teeth. The procedures include single crowns, fixed bridges, inlays & onlays, as well as veneers.
